Or RE Intent 

It is our intention that children of Ramsey Junior school have a basic understanding of Christianity and are introduced to other world faiths. We understand the role that religion, beliefs and customs play in the lives of many of our children and those in the immediate community and beyond. We believe all children should be taught tolerance and respect for others, but also to explore and develop awareness of the fundamental questions raised by human experiences, and how religious teachings relate to them. We want our children to know they have a right to hold different beliefs and these will be valued and celebrated. 

Spiritual development is important as it enables us to look within ourselves, at human relationships, at the wider world and at the vision of the divine or the ultimate reality with characteristics such as courage, hope, acceptance, strength, insight and love, so they can face all the sufferings, challenges and opportunities of human life.
